I would absolutely love to lead the Obs and Gynae division of Med Soc! Over the last year on the iBSc Women’s Health programme, I have developed a passion for O+G and am keen to inspire and engage both preclinical and clinical students to explore such a fascinating speciality!

I have lots of ideas to facilitate this, including:

  • Journal clubs to explore new developments in the field
  • Talk series given both by students and leading experts
  • A ‘practical careers tips’ scheme
  • Linking up with other medical schools for an O+G student conference

Through the iBSc I have met lots of experts in various fields of women’s health who the medical society have so much to gain from! I would also love to expand the society’s advocacy and charity work by raising awareness of underrepresented women’s health conditions, and working with baby loss support charities.

I have experience in leadership and organisational committee roles, including being on the RUMS Welfare Committee, and as current project leader for UCL Student Hospital Fun Team’s project working with Afghan refugee families.

It would be a privilege to be Med Soc’s O+G lead for 2022/23!
