After working in the events team as an executive, I have experience in how these events run and I am ready to take on the manager role so I can take our core activities further and integrate this society with the department and our student community as much as possible through organising informative and entertaining events. I also have admin experience and am very comfortable liasing with suppliers and venues, as well as working closely with the treasurer to ensure our budget is used wisely. Now that we're an established society, events management is a critical role, and I look forward to being able to connect current students in our department to alumni who are now in the industry, companies with internship/graduate positions to offer and simply to other students in our department.
