There are so many things at university to enjoy, what’s the point in worrying! University can be one of the most stressful parts of anyone’s life. With looming deadlines and examinations constantly around the corner, your welfare is constantly on the line. My name is Hugo and I’ve experienced 4 years of this already. For those who know me, you’ll know that I have an overwhelmingly positive outlook on life, always seeing the bright things in any situation with a smile on my face.

I have been on the MedTech committee for 2 years in the past holding positions including Vice-President 2 years ago. These have been highlights of my university career. From organising pizza socials to organising one of the biggest online university conferences during a pandemic, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will be going into my 5th year of medicine next year and I would love to be your welfare officer for the 2023/24 year. If elected I would hold welfare drop-in sessions on campus regularly, have a variety of interesting social media welfare posts/ stories, and be present at events with a welcoming smile for easy access to support. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me on [email protected].
