I believe that there is so much more that can be done to improve healthcare in low income countries and I hope to work in this type of field in the future. Growing up in Zimbabwe where the healthcare system is in dire need of support and help, I have seen firsthand what it’s like to not have access to basic necessities, even things we take for granted such as bandages and I want to spread the message of medlife and what they are doing to support communities and countries in these situations. I have various fundraising ideas in mind, not only to support our annual Medlife volunteering trip to Peru, but to also help collect supplies and materials to send to communities in need for example first aid kits and sanitary pads to name a few.  I would also like to arrange talks by previous Medlife volunteers, doctors who have worked in low income countries and other people in the healthcare sector to help this society as well as the wider UCL community to understand more about the mission of Medlife.
