Eleanor Garnier

Hi everyone! I’m Eleanor, but you can call me Ellie. This is my first year in cheer and I’m a base. If we haven’t already met, you could probably find me at sports night or Scala on Wednesdays. I’ve been wanting to join cheer for a while and these last few weeks with you guys exceeded my expectations. Which is why I’d like to get more involved and be your captain.

As captain I’d like to create an enjoyable, open environment for everyone. I would organise team socials, so we can all get to know each other, and have a load of fun! We could have post-training lunches as everyone’s always starving after cheer, secret Santa, team night-outs, or even picnics in Regents Park when the weather gets better.

As  team captain, I would be the link between the committee, coaches, and you guys. Having held organisation roles in the past, like organising an annual show with the Live Music soc, I believe I would be able to manage the pressure which comes with this role and effectively defend the team’s interest. I’m by nature hardworking, perseverant, and would commit to making this year fun for every single one of you. Outside of cheer, I've danced for most my life which has taught me to be creative, especially when it comes to choreographing and performing.

Over these past weeks, we’ve all improved so much, it’s really exciting! I believe that we will be able to achieve great things before the end of this year. I would love to make these exciting things happen!
