We all know how important critical analysis is in our degrees, but the only opportunity we have to practice this skill is when we are writing essays and being graded on it... So we have put together this club to have an informal and laid-back opportunity to practice and improve this skill!

All you have to do is read* the research paper relevant to our discipline (which we will be making available prior to each session, via our Weekly Newsletter and Instagram bio), and then turn up to the session to discuss the article and critically analyse it together! But don't worry, we know how stressful this time of year is with deadlines, so you are welcome to come along even if you haven't had a chance to read the article!

These sessions are available to ALL students in the Psychology and Human Development department, regardless of course, year group, or PES membership status, i.e. you do not need to be a PES member to come to the bi-weekly meetings! You just need to sign up for this session via this link:

And for a bit more incentive, these sessions are organised and run by the wonderful Thaina Matmati, an MSc Psychological Science of Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education student, former PES president, AND our current PES Postgrad Relations Officer - so they will definitely be insightful and informative!
