How to Get Paid Internships/Studentships in Genetics & Cancer 🧬🎓
Are you interested in securing a paid internship or studentship in genetics or cancer research during your undergraduate degree? Join us for the Internship Panel hosted by the UCL Genetics Society and CCA, where you’ll hear from students who have successfully completed internships in these fields.
The panel will feature six UG student speakers—three from genetics and three from cancer research—who will share their experiences, offer advice on how to find and apply for these opportunities, and discuss the projects they worked on during their internships. This will give you a clearer idea of what these projects look like and what to expect from the experience and the application process.
Each speaker will give a 10-minute talk about their internship, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session to address any questions you might have.
After the panel, there will be a networking session where you can ask further questions, seek advice, and connect with fellow students interested in genetics and cancer research, refreshments included.
