In signing up as a helper, you are committing to providing 1:1 care (including washing, dressing, toileting) for an individual child, from the evening of Tuesday 26th March to Sunday 31st March lunchtime down at a school in Windsor. 24 hour care is provided through a night duty rota of the helpers. You receive training before the week and you’re constantly surrounded by other helpers. We host a range of activities throughout the week including, soft play, bowling, swimming, arts and crafts, an inflatable obstacle course, a dance class, we even put on a mini disco for them, and a trip to Legoland on the Friday. You are fully supported throughout the week by floating helpers and the holiday leadership team. They are there to help and guide new helpers and those with children who require a higher level of support. You will never be expected to be alone with a child or by yourself dealing with a situation. You will arrive on a Tuesday evening for a pre-week briefing and leave on a Sunday afternoon. It’s during this time that any questions or queries about the care you’re going to be providing can be answered and solved. All helpers and children sleep on site and food for the week is provided. You will be sent the paperwork required to take part by the Trustees for you to complete before the week.
