Hi everyone, I’m Hana and I’m running for Anatomy Cup Lead.
I’d love to take this opportunity to run the first ever internal UCL anatomy cup, and find the best possible candidates to represent us at the Londonwide competition.
I believe I am suited for this role due to my experience studying anatomy, and planning and communication skills.
As a third year medical student, I have a solid background in anatomy learning - during my second year I took the “Anatomy and Art” SSC where I solidified my interest and understanding of human anatomy, through building a portfolio, visiting museums and putting together a final presentation. I was able to appreciate anatomy from a completely different perspective and hope to use this insight for the role of Cup Lead.
As Language Director for Japan society, I have experience organising and running events such as Japanese lessons and quiz socials, and I understand how much planning and coordination is required to run events on this scale. The position requires good communication between committee members, organisational skills and strong commitment - skills that are directly transferable to the position of Anatomy Cup Lead for instance when liaising with academic staff or running anatomy training sessions.
For these reasons, I feel I would be an ideal candidate for Anatomy Cup Lead and hope to take UCL to the next level in the London Anatomy Cup next March.
Thank you for reading :)
