Hi! I am a first year student and writing to apply for the role of VP of Client Relations. I am an ambitious but amiable, confident but modest, persuasive and reliable person who has a strong desire to achieve goals. My experience of being a school prefect during sixth form had developed my leadership and teamwork skills. I enjoyed my duty of greeting visitors and introducing the school to them on open days and rewarded lots of positive feedback. During the pandemic, we organised an extra duty of checking temperatures of students before they entered the refectory for lunch. By dividing the prefect team into groups and assigning daily routine, we collaborated closely and efficiently, successfully controlling the outbreak in year groups. Through these prefect duties, we built a strong cohesive team, met all of our targets and finally delivered an awesome year.
I love challenges and am always keen on finding innovative ways of solving problems and breaking challenges into stages allows me to be more organized. My degree in Statistics, Economics and Finance helps me in a professional way to develop firm relationships and raise funds.
If successful, I intend to pursue additional potential sponsors and to continue working closely with the sponsors we had in 2021–2022 to form strong ties with them for future firms. I would also lead the team and cooperate with other investment society teams to support the UCL investment society committee. Thank you!
Hello! I’m Jun Zhe and I am a second-year Economics student running for Vice President of Client Relations at UCL Investment Society.
Being a current Client Relations executive with UCLIS, I have a thorough understanding of the process behind acquiring sponsorships and partnerships. From securing successful sponsorships throughout the year, I learned effective communication with different firms which entailed negotiations through client meetings. With my current experience of being the treasurer of UCL Singapore Society, I am well versed with the Student Union's logistical processes and the drafting of sponsorship contracts.
Furthermore, my internship experiences in asset management and private equity allowed me to interact with clients and improve my communication and presentation skills.
My main goals if elected:
- Forge closer relationships within UCL Guild through creative collaborations with other Guild Societies to have a better variety of events for UCLIS members.
- Explore partnerships with firms to host stock-pitch and trading competitions to connect UCL students with prestigious firms, allowing students to get an early advantage in internship recruitment.
- Finding sponsorships beyond the financial industry such as corporate law firms to ensure increased funding.
With my past experiences, being the VP of Client Relations is the best way for me to contribute back to UCLIS and I hope that you would all vote for me!
Hi! My name is Yash Nagargoje, and I’m a first year computer science student from Mumbai. I am running to be the vice president for client relations at the investment society. Ever since high-school, I’ve always been involved in trading, investing and the use of financial computing. Moreover, being a computer science student has vastly helped my in grasping a strong fundamental in programming as well. When it comes to client relations, I was a part of the event outreach club during my time at high school and I can vouch for the fact that I have a lot of experience with outreach and communication.
When I become the Vice President of Client relations, I would make sure that I’d do my best to reach out to various companies to hold networking events, alumni talks and career fairs for students who aspire to have a career in financial computing. I would also try to have a social game-night for alumni and industry leaders along with students to help students gain an insight of what it’s like working as an investor.
Ever since the start of the year, I’ve been involved and following the investment society event and I would love to work in the committee and assist the society to grow further. It was either this society or nothing else. I believe that I am the perfect candidate for this role as I have previous experience in organising events, reaching out for sponsorships and maintaining relations with current sponsors and companies working with my team.
Being a second-year student studying Economics and Statistics, I would like to devote myself to the UCL Investment society as a Vice President for Client Relations.
Being an account manager at Uber enterprise, I was allowed to utilise my business analysis skill with the well-presented communication strategies when serving as a project leader in the onshore project in Taiwan.
Serving as a finance part-time associate at Beiersdorf, I am able to penetrate into the core of financial analysis and therefore fully utilise my data-analysis skill.
In addition, as I was the executive of Client Relations for UCL Consulting and Real estate society respectively, I am fully equipped with sufficient experience of outreaching to the clients and leading to the ultimate success.
Overall, I am keen to communicate with teammates and enjoy a sense of accomplishment when completing the tasks with the team. If I got elected for this role, I would like to maintain the excellence of previous client relationships but meanwhile innovate and improve them through the functional performance assessment and the brainstorming of the team.
My communication and leadership skills obtained from the previous experience have equipped me for being competent for this role. I would like to commit to Investment society using my professional knowledge. If you also want to take a leap, please vote for me.
