About the Speaker: As founding Director of the UCL Centre on US Politics (CUSP), Dr Thomas Gift has led extensive scholarship and public engagement analyzing US politics and America’s role in the world. Gift has made hundreds of media appearances on American politics and has written over one hundred articles for leading popular publications. In 2020, Gift served as the main in-studio guest for ‘round-the-clock BBC World Service “America Decides” election-night coverage, Gift has held fellowships or visiting appointments at Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, and the London School of Economics. He received a PhD in political science from Duke.
