Description

We are seeking UCL students who love the water to join a rewarding initiative, supporting adults with disabilities in their regular swimming sessions. Volunteers will accompany service users and their support workers to the swimming baths, providing encouragement and companionship in the water. The role will help service users experience the freedom and independence they find in the pool.

 

Duties

To accompany service users in the pool. To share the joy of the water.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Service users (with support workers attending poolside)
Training
Volunteers will be introduced to all service users by staff. They will be given time to get to know the service users.

Time commitment

1-2 hours weekly/fortnightly (A rota will be set up)
