Trapped In Zone One CIC
Trapped in Zone One is a registered London based arts collective, with a passion for the arts and culture. Our philosophy is to build strong partnership with community groups and organisations and support our artists, whether it’s their first steps in the art world or if they’re established already. Since 2017 we have been proud ambassadors of GreatArt and host exhibitions, running…
Description

Are you passionate about community engagement and amplifying the voices of the local Bangladeshi community? We are thrilled to invite you to be a part of our initiative to co-design a heritage-inspired mural that will encapsulate the rich cultural dynamics of the Bangladeshi Community in Kings Cross. Through two ideation workshops e aim to collaborate with local residents, artists, historians, and stakeholders to develop a concept that truly celebrates the Bangladeshi community in the locality. The opportunity we would like to offer through this project is for the volunteer to document the engagement we have with participants and capture ideas to assist in the mural co-design process.

Some of the benefits of participating are:

  • Gain hands-on experience in community-based research and interviewing
  • Contribute to a meaningful initiative that celebrates local history and cultural diversity
  • Opportunity to network with professionals, artists, and community members in the King's Cross/Euston area.
Duties
  1. Participant Engagement Documentation: Attend and document the ideation workshops, capturing key discussions, ideas, and feedback from participants using various methods.
  2. Data Analysis: Organize and analyse the collected data to identify themes, patterns, and insights regarding community perceptions, needs, and preferences related to the heritage mural project.
  3. Reporting: Prepare reports summarizing findings from the workshops, highlighting actionable recommendations for project enhancement and future initiatives.
