Hackney Shed CIO
Hackney Shed is an inclusive young people's performing arts charity established in 2001. We work with young people up to the age of 25 years old.  As an inclusive company we believe that every participant has something unique to offer to the development of the shared artistic vision and development of the group. We strive to make all our activities accessible to everyone, including members…
Description

Are you passionate about theatre and eager to support young performers? Hackney Shed is offering an exciting opportunity to join us on the day of our Hackney Shed SLAM event, a speech and drama competition where young performers from local schools showcase their talent. On the day, 10 finalists will perform their monologues in front of an audience of friends, family, and a panel of industry judges.

As a volunteer, you will engage with the young people by interviewing them to capture their experiences, emotions, and reflections on performing. You'll document the event throughout the day, capturing behind-the-scenes moments and the energy of the performances. Additionally, you'll assist in creating engaging content for social media, such as short video clips and interviews. Finally, you'll use the information collected to produce an article or video capsules that tell the story of the event and highlight its impact on the students. We encourage you to bring your own equipment to capture the data needed for this research.
