Description

We are looking for outgoing, organised, and creative people who is passionate about sustainability and foodwaste that would like to be in charge of organising events to raise awareness around food waste and manage Zero Food Waste UCL’s social media presence on Instagram.

Duties

They will be in charge of organising talks and workshops with relevant speakers, and contacting other UCL societies to organise socials to create a welcoming Zero Food Waste community. This will include duties such as contacting relevant speakers, and room bookings to hold the events.

Other than event planning, they will be in charge of uploading regular posts onto our social media pages, creating Instagram posts and/or reels, and writing captions. This might include, but not limited to, recording our achievments or commenting on relevant issues to increase audience engement.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
They will be working alongside the Project Leaders and the Engagement Officer.
Training
No training is required for this activity.

Time commitment

This is regular commitment. We would be looking for at least 1 social media post a week and 1~2 events per term.

While they would be working alongside project leaders and volunteers, the Events and Social Media Managers are not expected to be involved in food collection shifts or overall project management.
