The Roma Support Group (RSG) was the first Roma-led charity to be established in the UK. Since its founding in 1998, the organisation has assisted thousands of Roma families through our frontline services in accessing welfare, housing, health, education, and employment, as well as empowering Roma communities through a wide range of advocacy and cultural programmes.
Purpose of role:
To facilitate effective communication between our frontline team and Bulgarian speaking beneficiaries seeking to access our support.
About the role:
- Hours: Flexible (appx. 2 hrs per week)
- Location: Remote, occasionally East/North London
- An ideal opportunity for those with an interest in language and translation services, advice and advocacy, mental health, and community outreach.
Role Outline:
- Attend outreach sessions to provide interpreting
- Collaborate with advisors to facilitate follow up phone calls with clients
- Provide written translation of essential documentation or correspondence when required.
