Idea for research
Idea for research
GoSafer.online is dedicated to promoting online safety and digital literacy, especially among vulnerable groups such as the elderly, young people, and those with limited digital skills . This project aims to explore the background and impact of delivering tailored online safety workshops to these groups. We want to understand the specific online risks these individuals face, their current knowledge of online safety, and how the workshops affect their confidence, behaviour, and ability to navigate the internet safely.

We would also like to explore the barriers participants may encounter when learning about online safety, such as accessibility issues, language barriers, or distrust of digital technologies. Additionally, we aim to understand the impact that the workshops have on attendees' knowledge, sense of safety, and general awareness .
Impact of idea
This research will provide valuable insights into how vulnerable groups can be better supported in developing digital skills to protecting themselves and promote their wellbeing online. It will inform the improvement of GoSafer.online’s involvement in workshops and other initiatives, ensuring their efforts are as effective and accessible as possible. The findings will showcase the impact of digital wellbeing initiatives such as GoSafer.online to continue to contribute to a better online experience for all.
