Lacrosse is a huge part of my life at UCL and I have demonstrated my strong commitment as Women's 2's VC, with a total time of 64 hours spent playing and training, outside my strong dedication to a themed sports night (highlight of the EU blazer) and love of the club. My manifesto includes a published club calendar, dedicated kit bags, a lockup signup sheet, monthly committee meetings, an online suggestion form, a push for welfare-based inclusion to keep the freshers onboard and maintain the positive image of the club, collaborations with charitable organisations and more inter- society socials, including a charity fashion show which would involve all club members in the fun, all of which I feel would make the club be even better than it already is! I love UCL Lacrosse and would love to help the club go further so vote for me for Women's President 2022-2023.

Isabelle Mathews

Hi everyone!

I am running for President as I understand the level of commitment this role demands of its appointee and this is a responsibility that I am eager to shoulder. I can commit to the extra jobs of the President and wish to expand the club across UCL and the community. I intend to work closely with other committee members and use my experience on committee to progress the club’s strategic planning.

I believe for the club to progress there needs to be transparency between committee and members so if appointed I want to create a feedback mechanism for an easy flow of thoughts and ideas for improvement. For example, regular google forms for feedback, ‘office hours’ for in person chats and continuing to go to Devs training when I don’t have a match to make myself more accessible across the club.

To continue and expand the diverse, welcoming nature of this club, I will make a large push to attract new members, e.g. at freshers fair, to continue the support of high level players as well as to get new people involved in the sport. I would also like to increase options for engagement in the club beyond our usual socials to include events, like volunteering, which will benefit our wider community and increase integration between all our teams.

Finally, it would be an honour to represent you all and this club, as your President. I love UCL Lacrosse and purple is actually my favourite colour.

Lax love,
Isabelle Mathews (Ziggy)
