Hi girls :)
I’m Melodie, first year BSc Economics and Statistics student hoping to be your Treasurer. As the First Year Rep, I’ve found this society an open and supportive community with so many powerful women, which I would love to actively support, in turn, by taking on this role.
About why I fit this role…
• Quantitative skills and economics knowledge gained from my degree that allows me to manage finance and deal with all money-related issues.
• Obtained sponsorships cumulatively worthing a few thousand pounds for publishing yearbook as the President of Literature Society in sixform.
• Strong communication skills gained as a HR intern at Private Equity and academic representative for Statistics.
About my key goals…
• Continue to strengthen existing relations with current sponsors and other UCL societies, and reach out more organizations to seek sponsorship.
• Use the budget to support the hosting of events properly.
• Be responsible for the overall financial well-being of society both internally and externally, through collaborating closely with the President.
Having joined HC this year, I admire the community and its empowerment of young women's voices, so I couldn’t wait to give back, by doing something productive and worth remembering for it.
