Effective Altruism UCL has had a fantastic year! The society has welcomed over 150 new members, held 10+ speaker events and ran fellowship groups for over 40 students. We have offered exciting socials, organised a weekend retreat, led an Impact Challenge, and are about to complete a charity run on behalf of Against Malaria Foundation. What makes this more impressive is that at the beginning of this academic year, I was our society’s only committee member.

We have big plans for next year: 20+ speaker events (two speaker series as opposed to one), more retreats, new fellowships including in the fields of AI and Global Priorities research, and greater support for students in finding EA-aligned internships and research opportunities.

I’d appreciate your support in making this happen.
