Rhianna Patel

I may not be the best cricketer or own whites that fit me but, nevertheless, the CC has played a huge part in my 3 years in RUMS and I strongly believe I am an integral member of the CC. In the past 3 years, there has been a clear shift in the ethos of the club with the emergence of more female members. As treasurer, I plan to welcome this new dynamic into the club’s future. My skill set favours leadership roles (as exampled by my ability to shout and lead sports night) as well as financial roles after being a previously successful treasurer of Hindu society. I believe this also distinguishes me from my competitors as, any previous committee member would know, having experience working with student union is invaluable when being a treasurer. Moreover, being a senior member of committee means more than just behind the scenes work. As an avid member of sports night, the 3s nets and all things RUMSCC, I have immersed myself in all aspects of the club and developed a broad understanding of where the financial needs of the club are. I have the character to promote and expand the club regarding sponsorships and memberships and intend to lay the foundations for the CC to be known as the finest cub in UH – leaving GKT in the dust.

Chinmay Monga
