Cheerleading Club: Charge Captain

I am excited to nominate myself as the charge captain. My first and foremost goal will be to create a positive and inclusive environment where every one of you feels valued and heard. 

People always say I’m the most caring person they know, as I would notice the smallest thing, remember it and act on it. So if you have any concerns I will always be here to listen to you and work on it as a team. 

I was also elected as the student rep for my course last year, where I represented my fellow peers and acted as the bridge of communication， I gained many insights and practical skills of being a good leader from my predecessors along the way. So same for cheer here, I want to lead everyone to be able to have a bonding cheer experience.

In addition to that, I believe in the power of motivation. Each one of you has unique talents and strengths, and my role as captain will be to motivate and nurture those qualities. Together, we can inspire the community with our best! performances and spirit. 

Even though the term hasn’t started for long, From the taster sessions, social events and weekly training, I am already In love with this society and the people, and I am grateful to be a part of this community. Thank you for voting for me and I cannot wait to make more great memories with you guys!

Being Charge captain would be a great opportunity. I would strive to make the team more inclusive and supportive than it already is. My top priorities as captain would be to make everyone feel included, hear everyone's opinion, and bring everyone together to have the best team/ family possible. I really want everyone to become the best cheerleader they can be, so I promise to be your cheerleader and help you achieve your goals, in doing so, make the team even better. In the past, I have been captain of my football team and have been described as an excellent leader with good communication and organizational skills. Another reason I would make a good captain is that I love to organize and throw parties so I would definitely host and organize multiple team events. Finally, sports are so much more than an extracurricular activity, they are a community, a family, and I'd love to build this new family with you all.
