Idea for research
The Romanian and Eastern European Hub is a service designed to support the Romanian community both in London and more widely across the UK. We offer support in Romanian to those needing help due to language, digital, and cultural barriers.

This research aims to explore the issues facing Romanian and Eastern European populations in the UK. This could include topics such as
1. The cost of living crisis
2. Social media and communication
3. Immigration
4. Domestic abuse
5. Health inequalities

We are flexible in terms of the directions and methodologies this project may take and would seek input from interested students about how they would develop this idea. Since we are a very small organisation, students would need to be skilled in independent working. We would be able to provide students with access to service users for interviews and other data collection.
Impact of idea
The insights from this research will play a critical role in highlighting the needs of our service users. It would also provide evidence for the importance of our service, which is essential to the expansion of our support.
