The festive season is all about giving back and bringing happiness to others and what better way is there to do that than through volunteering?

There are so many One-Off Volunteering opportunities for you to get involved with this December - we're going to give you a whistle-stop tour of the ones we're most excited about! We'll be attending lots of these events, so just drop us a line if you'd like to travel with us from campus.

St. Mark's Hospital Foundation have a range of festive volunteering sessions on offer. Their goal is to create a world free from the fear of bowel disease through research, education and clinical excellence. Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK and fundraising for this cause can truly make a difference to people’s lives. If you’re interested in supporting this cause, you could participate in supermarket bag packing, Christmas gift wrapping or an Oxford Circus Bucket Collection!

ECHO is holding several Christmas gift wrapping events over the next few weeks. They support children and young people with heart conditions from birth to adulthood. They also provide support for their families at times when they need the help most. Their mission is to make a difference to the lives of heart children and their families. ECHO relies solely on the public’s generosity, so why not help them by becoming part of their volunteering network this Christmas?

If you're a comedy fan, The Royal Society for Blind Children will be at the Royal Albert Hall for a day of improvised comedy specials! Help with their Christmas Collection Special and watch two stand-up acts by the cast of ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’.

There's so much to get involved with this festive season - from Winter Wonderlands, Christmas Fayres and Tea Dances, to Santa Races and a Retro Games night! You can browse a full list of One-Off Volunteering Events here.

See you there!
