Bryan Cheong

Dear UCL,

I am applying for the President position in UCL's Malaysian Society because I love what this society stands by, spreading rich Malaysian culture to the whole of UCL. I enjoy working with people, introducing unorthodox ideas to my team and making them happen. My manifesto can be found here, which will outline my goals for this society and highlight why I am capable. I would appreciate it if you voted for me. Thank you!

Kind regards,
Bryan Cheong

Cyn Thea Yu

In my first year, I dedicated my time to pursuing anything Msoc has to offer. I was Organising Chairperson (OC)  and Logistics Director in the RD programme. Adaptability, agility and foresight are key attributes of a leader. Through my time in Msoc and previous roles as Deputy Head Girl, and others, I honed these very skills and am confident in my ability to lead a team. I intend to build upon the current family framework, hold more intersocietal events, and work with partners and affiliates to link members to more internships/ programmes. Furthermore, I intend to support my fellow teammates to achieve their manifestos as well.

I understand the difficulty of being in a foreign place for (frankly) way too long. Being in Msoc this year eased the transition and introduced me to a network of support I didn't know I needed. The events gave me the opportunity to meet amazing people and MNight is a whole treat in itself! I want to play a part in supporting our students, and help create memories that will eventually become stories they will tell in years to come.

I believe that my track record speaks for itself. I have no doubt that my experiences and can-do attitude make me the ideal candidate for President.

Thank you, and have a great day!
