Hi! My name is Nick, I am a physics student and I am running for Marketing and Social Media officer!

 

I have been involved with the society for over 2 years, and I have a good understanding of what my duties as Marketing and Social Media officer will be. 

 

I am very familiar with all the social media platforms used by the society. I have previous experience running a UCL society's Facebook and Instagram pages, as I was social secretary of the Physics society in 2019-20. 

 

I also have experience in graphic design and am proficient in photo editing software (photoshop, etc...) and video editing software (premier pro, etc...)

Han Park

Active membership in the society has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge of the live music calendar. I hope to be elected as the next marketing and social media officer to effectively promote these events. Social media and marketing is an essential part of live music when it comes to gigs, open mics, auditions and many more. If I were to be elected, I would ensure that clear and articulate information is provided to students through the live music's social media handles on Facebook and Instagram. I will also make sure that the social media handles are visually organised and easy to follow to make them more appealing to use. 

Social media will be used to routinely remind students of events happening each week and through this effective promotion, I will reach a larger number of students to attend these events. Further, I hope to attract more students to participate in live music events, creating larger membership and more opportunities for students who share the same passion for music. 

Lastly, I believe that social media is one of the best ways to showcase the talents that live music have to offer. The live music's Instagram account will be a prominent platform that logs many of the performances put on so that students can watch back short clips from the events online as well as in person. More organised stories on Instagram can be effectively utilised to increase interaction and active engagement on the social media page.
