Kleopatra Dimitropoulou

Hi all, my name is Kleopatra and I’m a 2nd year law student. I’m running for President with 2 main goals:

- Familiarise students with the novel technology used every day in the legal profession.

- Delve into the all-important topic of technological regulation.

To this end, I'll work with the rest of the Committee to organise panel events with speakers from law firms, legal tech start-ups and academia, as well as other societies. Moreover, I aim to further the current Committee’s legacy by organising more workshops on topics such as contract automation; this will equip students with valuable knowledge year round. Last, I intend to strengthen the society’s social media presence, and create a weekly newsletter. This way, student engagement will be facilitated, leading to increased membership numbers.

Guiding the society into the future won't be easy, but I have exactly what it takes to succeed. As President of my High School’s Student Council for two consecutive years, I learned how to be an effective leader. Being a member of the UCL Law Society Debating Subcommittee taught me how to balance my academics with society involvement. Most importantly, this year I assisted the Legal Tech Society in various tasks and developed excellent relations with the current Committee. Therefore, I have a “head start” in terms of knowledge, something that will facilitate the handover process.

If you share my vision, do vote for me!
