Law for All Society: Events Officer

Hi everyone!

My name is Ambrine and I am a second year PPE student.  

If elected, I aim to support our members in entering the legal sector by: 

Increasing the range of career events available through: 

• Introductory events about the different areas of law and legal career paths
• Networking opportunities, especially by using our alumni network, for our members to get to know the industry from first-hand accounts

Increasing the range of support available to our members through: 

• Organising CV and application workshops and developing the mentorship programme
• Organising events aimed at developing our members’ legal profile such as mooting and commercial awareness competitions

I have previous experience organising successful events and I will draw on these to ensure the organisation of high-quality events next year. As part of the Alumni Committee Board of my former high school, I played a key role in the organisation of an Alumni Day for current students to get support from alumni for their university applications. I oversaw the organisation of this event at all stages: from planning and contacting speakers to supporting the delivery.

I have been an active member of LfA for the past two years and it has played a key role in helping me gain an understanding of law as a future career. I am eager at the idea of giving back to the society as Events Officer.
