Labour Society: Communications, Campaigns and Media Officer

I am standing to build upon the momentum and work that the previous committee has put in over the last year. I was incredibly proud to be apart of the society's re-brand and relaunch; from designing the new UCL Labour logo and social media templates to inviting guest speakers such as Emily Thornberry, I really want to ensure that we as members continue to increase the presence of the UCL Labour Society on campus and within the labour movement itself. 

Labour and its young members are fundamental in the campaign for social and economic justice, and that is why if elected again I will put in maximum effort to ensure our members are active within local communities and its campaigns. Social media is enormously important, it is our main way of communicated to our members and those who wish to join what we stand for and who we are, over the last year both the pandemic and change in society leadership led to all social media accounts becoming inactive, I am proud to of re-built the instagram, twitter, and facebook which has led to an increase in members and the re-establishment of the Labour Society as a political society on campus that is seen as both functional and a serious force for change. 

I believe the work I have started is not yet finished, I wish to support the new committee and continue in the progressive direction that we have seen in the last year, and leave the society in an even better place when my time at UCL comes to an end.
