Jitsu Club: President

Hi guys, I'm Daniel, and I'd love to be the next President of the Jujitsu Society. My mission would be to uphold organisation, integrity and empathy, these crucial values that every society must possess.  Furthermore, I will work effectively as a mediator between coaches and club members to expand the amount of training sessions, increase and diversify our social events, and continue to accommodate and welcome newcomers into our community!

Hey! My name is Boss and I am a first-year student. I have had the pleasure of getting to meet most of you either through the group chat or during training classes and would like to improve. As somebody who had only started learning Jitsu this year, I understand fully the challenges it has and I hope I can contribute to making the training a safe place for everyone. 

My main objective as a president would be to enhance communication, alignment between staff and students as well as increase member participation. I have seen some of our training sessions not as efficient as they should be due to the lack of students attending the classes. Also, I have the experience of being a class rep and leading group projects, I have become accustomed to presenting myself to the members and am fully aware of the work required to ensure effective communication and delivery.

I have learnt from experience that being a president is no easy work and keeping the society on its feet is a team effort (Working with the Society's Welfare Officer and the Treasure and you!). As someone who plays basketball, I understand how working in a team can help increase motivation and enthusiasm as well as lift each other up

Whether I become a president or not, I look forward to fun and productive sessions at UCL and I thank you in advance for your support and consideration
