Ever since I was a child, I knew I had to nominate myself for this role…
Is something no real person would say. Hi everyone! My name is Max. It’s a scary and uncertain time on the international stage at the moment. We are facing war in Europe, a second refugee crisis, an energy crisis…if it sounds depressing, that’s because it is. But you lovely people are interested in this stuff and want to make this world less depressing. I’m with you! As part of this society, I’ll help you engage your inner Mearsheimer, Wilson or Wallerstein, foster spicy debate and offer opportunities to grow, network and make great friends!
About me:
- I am a second year Politics and International Relations student (i.e. talk to me about politics!)
- I think Boris Johnson should resign and take up his real calling working at Peppa Pig World
- In my spare time I love cooking and shaking cocktails
What I will bring to this role:
- Passion: like you all, I live and breathe politics. I will do all that I can to support the society in getting the most interesting speakers and covering the most trendy topics
- Experience: This year I have been president of the Snooker and Pool Society. I will use my leadership, management and organisational skills to make sure the society runs smoothly and everyone feels involved and engaged
- Friendly and fun: I love to meet new people and make friends and if I can make you laugh at least once, I’ll take it :)
