Hockey Club (Men's): Fitness Secretary

There are only two things I love more than playing hockey with the boys, and one of those is doing fitness with the boys. I am energised by the memory of Sergeant major corporal captain cadet lance corporal Matthew Munday and Andrew Lee putting me through my paces on the regent’s park running track, and this is what what is driving my desire to become UC mens’ hockey club Fitness secretary.

My motivating nature and high energy attitude would be highly valued traits in pushing club members to give everything they have in their fitness session. Additionally, I am well-educated in the tenets of fitness training and programming, doing a lot of research to optimise my own training and programming both in resistance training and cardiovascular work. This would manifest itself in carefully planned sessions, while also adaptable, allowing everyone to work at a level that fits them, yet also challenges them. 

A willingness to push oneself and motivate others is a trait I believe myself to possess, and a key characteristic of a successful fitness secretary, in addition to ownership of obscenely tight t-shirts, which is why I believe myself to be an ideal candidate for this position.
