Anshika Malhotra

Hi everyone! I’m Anshika, and without further ado, I accredit myself as a perfect fit for this position, predominantly, in view of my experience in both in-bound and outbound marketing that lends me the motivation to grow Her Campus and reach mass audiences! I know nobody likes to read large lumps, so here’s a summary of my experience:

In 2020, I founded Menteere (an ed-tech platform) with a team of 30+. It has been operational for 22 months, and I’m responsible for overseeing sales & marketing, the core UI/UX, coupled with the company’s overall branding and media interaction. In my tenure, my team and I have:

  • developed a mentor base of 150+ students globally
  • sold 120+ hours
  • signed B2B deals with 10 institutions
  • mentored 1200+ students
  • been recognised by and accepted into Forbes top 5 incubator programs: Skydeck Pad-13
  • accepted into: UC Berkeley's premier Accelerator Program: Convergent and the FFC
  • Other awards - Columbia Business School's Best Pitch Competition, Entrepreneurs@Berkeley Demo Day, YNG+ top 10 start-ups

In addition, I interned at a growing fast-food chain based called ‘Crepe-Fe’, where I led a team of 5 - revamped social media with 650+ posts, and increased engagement by 83% to 10k followers! I also assisted in media commercials, created interactive content and organised advertisement campaigns

Marketing is my passion, and I look forward to a fruitful experience working with Her Campus!

Maria Hontaru

Hey everyone! My name is Maria and this year I'm running for Social Media Officer at Her Campus. I joined the society this year as the Social Media sub-committee, helping with planning and creating posts for our social media platforms and I loved the energy in the society and its commitment to ensure that women from all backgrounds have a safe space to make their voices heard through their writing. Then, I was elected Marketing Officer, where my responsibilities consisted of creating a marketing strategy to promote the society within the UCL students.

My goals next year as a Social Media Officer are:

  • Increase the society’s social media presence with posts sharing not only the amazing articles of our writers but also informative resources, using my graphic design abilities
  • Produce new segments in our posts aimed to share women’s life on campus and build a stronger community in this way
  • Create strong partnerships with other UCL societies that share our passion for diversity and journalism in addition to increasing collaborations with Her Campus societies from other universities

Social media is not individual in nature so I plan to use my communication skills to collaborate with all members of the committee to ensure that the Her Campus community grows and helps more and more women feel more empowered on campus. This society brought me a sense of community and friendship that I wish to share the same values with future members.
