Guitar Society: President

Hey there :)

For those who don’t know, I’ve been the Guitar Soc President for the last year! I’ve successful organised and taught bi-weekly lessons, for both beginners and advanced players. We covered a range of songs and genres like pop, jazz, rock, and a bit of flamenco! I also successfully organised and ran “Guitar O’clock” – which was a performance at Phineas for guitarists and singers. And also encouraged other people to perform at SU run events, like the Arts Day Performance.

More generally- I am an avid guitar player: having been a  member of a guitar ensemble and a band, reaching grade 8 & 5 in classical & electric guitar, respectively. Although, I love to play fingerstyle covers of pop songs, jazz, samba, and flamenco. (feel free to judge my insta @suvan.muzak)

Looking forward, I would definitely want to organise more jam opportunities, more socials and more performances alongside other societies :)
