Dena Truijen

Hii, I want to help create an environment where every member feels welcome and comfortable and also make sure you have someone to talk to when needed. Having a good welfare officer will increase the club's spirit and joy, and I am happy to be that person :)!

Jamila Cephas (JJ)

Hi I’m JJ!

For anyone who doesn’t know me I’m the tall one that plays in goal and talks about women’s football (especially Arsenal) 24/7.

I am running for Welfare Officer to hopefully offer support to the club in any way I can, whether that be to raise any concerns you may have or just a friendly face to talk to. Additionally, I hope to carry on the great work this year’s Welfare Officers have done with the mums and mums socials, as well as working closely with the Social Secretaries to come up with new socials, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. I have experience being a part of committee as a 1st team Captain, so I understand that this role will take a certain level of commitment. Although it was a different role, I learnt many skills that will contribute to being a good Welfare Officer, such as being a good listener, approachable and understanding.

Thanks for reading and I hope you vote for me :)

Niharika Lal

Hi everyone, I am Niharika Lal, and I am applying for the post of welfare officer at UCL football club. My role would primarily focus on managing and reporting the concerns of the members and taking action to safeguard the interests of everyone.

Since I’m a person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, I believe I am a potential candidate for this position. My ability to remain calm in stressful situations would help in solving problems easily.

If I am elected as your next Welfare Officer, there are two main goals I want to achieve:

  • Ensure that everyone is treated with fair means and gets to represent UCL football at various levels.
  • Ensure that member issues are always passed onto the Student Union if required. I will always be reachable by email and have an active social media preference.

Most importantly, your feedback is much appreciated. Feel free to drop an email if you have any questions- [email protected]
