Football Club (Women's)

UCL Women's Football is a fun yet competitive society that brings together students with an enthusiasm for and commitment to football. We welcome all new members to join, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player.

We have 3 teams competing in LUSL and 2 in BUCS Leagues, ensuring there are games every week as well as training to enjoy your love for football and to take a break from the uni stress. For our beginners curious to master the basics or those new to the sport, you are always welcome to join us at our training sessions to get some practice. We hold formal weekly training sessions together as a club and do numerous volunteering and social events throughout the year. In the last non-covid year, we held volunteering events such as a 'period party', where we collaborated with bloody good period. We also collected tins at training each week. As for our social events, we all look forward to our Sports Night on Wednesdays. Our most successful socials include the Freshers Welcome, the 80s beer pong social, our Pub Quiz for Brave the Shave, our pizza social and of course our annual Christmas dinner. We also organise trips abroad including the Paris tournament in term 2 and Tour in the summer when we all go on holiday together to some exotic place to celebrate our successful year together!

TRAINING:

Our training session takes place every Thursday, from 7-9 pm at Ark Burlington Danes Academy, Wood Ln, London W12 0HR (Enter the facility via the Du Cane Road entrance).

Anyone who is interested in joining the club is welcome to come along to a training session to get a feel for what it is like. Please remember to purchase the free taster membership in advance if you choose to drop in! Once you have committed, you must then purchase the full membership in order to take part in all of our fixtures and fun events!
