Hello gents,

I am running for president of UCFC this year because I would like to continue to neglect my degree and instead commit myself to this great club. After all, that's the only reason I'm doing a Master's.

I want to continue the work that's been done to rebuild the club in the post-COVID era. I'm in the unique position of having experienced the simpler times before pandemics and Russo-Ukrainian conflicts, which means I can bring together the best of traditions from years gone by as well as new aspects of the club that have proven popular.

Being a member of this club has always been a pleasure, although I have plenty of ideas on how to make it even better for everyone. Come along to the online AGM to hear my manifesto and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

See you there,

Jevan xx

Dear all,

I could and I will tell you how much I hate King’s. I hate King’s footballers, I hate King’s students and I hope they all get sent to the gulag and forced to fist-fight against a tag team of President Zelensky and Oleksandr Usyk. I could also tell you how much I love Scala and the FA Chop and the Court and £3 Coors.

But all of these sentiments, as true as they are, are not why I am running for President. I am running for President not just because of what I can do for this club but also because of what this club has done for me. As a life-long sufferer of depression, the last few years have been exceedingly difficult for me and in between lockdowns, I fell out of love with life but more importantly with football.

Playing football this year has meant the world to me. On shit days, there was always football. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, regardless of internal strife, I would pack up my Puma Kings and walk out the door. The football club has done so much for me and I will repay you all by presiding over it fervently and fluently. I will ensure that this club is run with rambunctiousness at its forefront but with welfare at its core. We will be the most rowdy, most outrageously funny club at UCL but we will also be a tight-knit group of compassionate individuals. As a socials regular, a (hopefully) respected member of two teams as well as a mental health volunteer, I believe I am the man to carry the UCL men’s football club forward.
