UCL Men’s Football Club (UCLFC) is the biggest competitive sports club at UCL. With six teams competing in a combined total of eight leagues, we provide unrivalled sporting and social opportunities, allowing our members to become further immersed in UCL student life.

HERE'S A RECAP OF OUR 2023/24 CAMPAIGN:

  • 1s: Finished 2nd in Competitive BUCS Div 2 and 3rd in LUSL Premier
  • 2s: Finished 2nd in Competitive BUCS Div 5 and 3rd in LUSL Div 1 (went undefeated)
  • 3s: Finished 4th Competitive BUCS Div 6 and 4th in LUSL Div 2
  • 4s: Finished 3rd in Wednesday Intermediate LUSL Premier and 3rd in Saturday Intermediate LUSL Premier
  • 5s: Winners of Wednesday Intermediate LUSL Div 1 and 4th in Saturday Intermediate LUSL Premier

  • 6s: Got to the LUSL Plate Final and finished 3rd in Saturday Intermediate LUSL Div 1

    OTHER NOTABLE EVENTS:

  • Raised £9756 for Movember, coming 51st in the UK for Movember contributions and continuing to raise awareness of men’s mental health. 
  • Amazing weekly socials throughout the year, as well as two memorable UCFC tours - making our mark both domestically in Manchester, and internationally in Malta. 
  • Provided a positive experience for over 250 paying members. 
  • 2024 Varsity cancelled, but the season before we dispatched our Varsity rivals K*ngs - making it now SIX Varsity wins on the bounce.

KEY INFO:

Fixtures take place twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) for our 1s-5s, and once a week (Saturday) for our intramural 6th team. Training is once per week for all 6 teams. Our club socials are held weekly, and we also like to host a variety of special events such as the Christmas curry, pub golf, and themed sports nights at scala. However, arguably the best part about being a UCFC member is having the chance to come on tour. Each summer we run a tour abroad after term 3 (recent destinations have included Malta, Krakow, Budapest, and Barcelona), as well as a short domestic tour after term 1. These are not to be missed and are considered by many in the club as the highlight of the year. 
 

GETTING INVOLVED

Trials: To join one of our six teams, you MUST book a ticket and be successful at one of our trials. Term 1 trials for the 2024/25 season are taking place at The Regent’s Park, 2-3pm and 3-4pm on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 25th Septemeber
  • Wednesday 2nd October

You only need to attend one trial, where tickets will go live for £3;  2-3pm will be for those who class themselves as a competitive player and 3-4pm for those who play more socially!

The location is The Regent’s Park, NW1 4NU, which is within walking distance of most UCL halls of residences. Alternatively, the nearest tube stations are Great Portland Street or Baker Street. To take part, you MUST bring boots and shin pads, and arrive 30 minutes prior to kick off.

This year’s Standard Membership is £100, and the Intramural 7th team Membership is £75. All squad members must pay before taking part in club activity. ***Note - you should NOT pay for a membership before you have been successful at one of our trials and told to purchase one by one of the captains.***
