Film and TV Society: Marketing Officer

Hi! I’m Catrin and I'd like to take on the Marketing Officer role. Filmsoc is such an active society and I’d love to be the point of contact for members and keep everyone up to date on all the fun in the upcoming year.

To the role, I can bring experience from an internship at a marketing firm and a year of running an Instagram page for a cafe. I had a lot of fun with it, getting creative with themed and seasonal content, incorporating my photography and photo editing skills. The cafe was dog friendly so the most popular content I posted was of the dogs that came in. We ended up with a community of dog owners and walkers, including some insta-famous dogs (some would say I’ve worked with influencers). It brought joy to an otherwise menial job and I’d love to bring the same creativity and enthusiasm to Filmsoc!

I handled questions and complaints directly, and stayed organised while keeping to a posting schedule. I can also be relied upon to be responsive on social media and in the group chat. 

Generally, I want to create an inclusive and welcoming community for all members while keeping everyone in the loop on the society's goings-on. To represent the strength of filmmaking and photography talent in the society, I'll make sure the content looks the part too!
