Stephanie Chang

Driven by my interests in entrepreneurship and passion for making a difference in the often, largely overlooked issue of elderly poverty and loneliness, I founded and lead an Enactus UCL project called CorStitch in the 2021/2022 year.

In a society where age poses as a barrier, elderly poverty rates are rising, and the mental health of the elderly population is impacted due to isolation - CorStitch aims to provide fun and interactive wallet-painting workshops for the elderly, selling these hand-painted wallets with the proceeds donated right back to the elderly organisations we work with.

In our first year, we focused on carefully establishing the foundational basis of our project including our business model and plan to create meaningful impact for our target beneficiaries. I would like to keep the momentum going and pursue the position of a project leader for our second year in really developing the project further with my team!

Thalia A Letrilliart

As a 1st year international student driven by a passion for social entreprise and sustainability and studying BSc Politics and International Relations, I am excited to run for the role of Project Leader at Enactus UCL for the upcoming academic year (2022-23).

I believe that I am fitted for this role, as my previous and ongoing experiences in marketing, communications and fundraising have all taught me how to work in a team, organise events and properly manage a small-scale project. Further, my dynamism and passion for sustainability also make me a well-equipped candidate as I am highly motivated to learn more about social entrepreneurship, and am eager to promote eco-consciousness through Enactus.

As someone who has been following the Enactus projects for a while (LUNA and Offcuts Apparel especially) I am excited by the idea of joining such a project to work alongside other students with shared interests, to achieve a collective goal and make concrete social impact. Though I understand that the Project Leader role requires a lot of work and interpersonal skills, I am confident that the pre-existing skill set I have acquired as well as my enthusiasm towards the society and its mission as a whole will allow me to innovate and effectively run a project, whether that be one already in place at UCL or developing a new one.

Thanks for reading my application!
