Rob Norris

Dear fellow DJs, electronic music enthusiasts, and party people:

Having been head of events for the last year, I am running to be the next president of EMS. The society has played a major role in my university experience and I am always keen to get more stuck in; both behind the scene and behind decks.

I believe the key to the society's success is all in the community and events. As a result my manifesto is simple: more club nights, more socials, more synergy. Bundled with this the importance of the bedroom to club pipeline that all DJs have to venture through. Holding regular DJ lessons and trials, especially targeted at groups underrepresented in the DJ community, will be a vital part of EMS. Doing so ensures the high quality and diversity of our line-ups.

For those who enjoy the genre from the other side of the decks, I also plan on hosting pres for gigs and club nights around London. As a large community of electronic music enjoyers, EMS could be the perfect place to meet a group for some of the most electric nights in London. No one should have to go through the Fabric security check alone.

See you on the dance floor ?

Alexei Pisacane

I have been an active member of EMS for 3 years now and I think now is a great time to start participating in its running. I love electronic music, DJing and production and have been a loyal member to the society since I joined UCL in 2019. Furthermore, prior to university, I have run 3 hugely successful house and techno events in my hometown of Leeds and have some great ideas on how to expand the reach and participation of one of UCL's strongest societies. I will make sure everyone has their opinions heard and give fair opportunity to any budding DJs, producers or creatives more generally looking to expand their skillset, and play in front of crowds.
