Hey everyone! I am Yatin Airi, a first-year Economics student running for the next VP of mentorship.

Having been a mentor under an NGO and being a mentee under the Aspiring Interns mentorship programme, I have an in-depth understanding of how the timeline works for the application process and mentorship cycles and will be able to make these programs rigorous and fruitful for all participants.

I aim at diversifying mentoring to the spectrum of financial-legal-technological consultancy, with the introduction of collaborations with multidisciplinary firms and societies from different universities, making the programme more inclusive for mentees who wish to participate. I can achieve this from my experience as a representative for the national round table conference where I interacted with sponsors and alumni of prestigious schools of India.

I want to introduce a firm-specific assessment simulation; the mentees will follow a staged application process. CVs and cover letters will be submitted for the respective firm and division, furthermore a mock assessment centre will be created for conducting interviews.

This will provide a first-hand experience to mentees whereas mentors can provide personalised feedback after observing the mentees throughout the workshop.

I will make the mentorship division diverse yet inclusive and ensure all members benefit from the aims implemented. I hope to get your votes to achieve this!
