Conservative Society: Treasurer

Great members of the UCL ConSect I am standing for this position to ensure the financial needs of this great organisation are met on time, every time.

You should elect me to this position because I know the work is not glamorous or appealing and I am standing with no expectation this position will be fun but only that it is right and necessary. 

There are many things which need to be accomplished by a treasurer and while they do not bring fame or glory they can stop a club from operating smoothly and this society is one which must run smoothly, without interruptions to the flow of its port, the snap of its socials, or the sway of its speakers!

A vote for me to be your treasurer is one that will ensure you have the processes completed that are necessary to keep this society moving forward together in the manner you have grown accustomed to and enjoy.

The Treasury of the society is sacred. It is the unseen tree from which the sweet nectar of port flows. As Treasurer, I will maintain the health of our finances, ensuring that we are able to enjoy events in the style of which our members have become accustomed to. At the same time membership fees will be kept as low as possible, allowing as many people as possible to be part of the Society. Working with the new President and committee, I look forwards to facilitating the smooth running and continued success of our events by helping provide a copious volume of refreshments at every event possible. This being my second year on the committee, I will continue to strive to be an outlet through which members can voice their views regarding the Society and their fellow members. I will nurture and safeguard the tree of the Treasury, such that its fruits will continue to be enjoyed by members both present and future.

I been a trader for a long time, currently I am working for the second largest Chinese (Nasdaq listed) private investment bank Hywin Wealth Management, so if Tories need someone to handle money and any other relevant work, I assure you no one is better suited than me.
