Coffee Society: President

Hey there :)

Hope you’re all well – I’m Suvan and I have a (minor) coffee addiction. 

(You might remember me from helping to organise the recent meetups !)

Whilst I’m relatively new to the world of coffee, what I might lack in knowledge, I more than makeup in curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt. Where my focus for the society will be inclusivity- moving away from the snobby stereotypes to a welcoming and social environment.

Looking forward, I definitely want to continue the weekly coffee meet ups, get our own espresso machine (cause I know some people are into latte art), have tasting sessions where we try obscure and unique beans, and maybe have talks/presentations by coffee experts (a certain James Hoffmann comes to mind!)

This last year, I’ve been the Guitar Soc President- so I have a familiarity with organising and running a range of events like lessons, performances, and socials. With both of these societies being of a similar size, and sharing a similar breadth in skill ( baristas vs. instant coffee users), I strongly believe I can create a tailored and inclusive society.

With my prior knowledge and open communication with you, I will ensure that everyone can experience a coffee-filled year !
