Climbing and Mountaineering Club: Welfare Officer

Hi all,

As well as running for President, I’m also going for welfare officer. Im doing this because it’s the next best position to help the club in the way I said I’d like to in my nomination for President. I want to help the club in some capacity, and this is a role that would allow me to very directly help club members. 

Hi, I'm Alex! I've been on this committee for the past 4 years: the welfare and inclusivity of the club are incredibly important to me. In my role as social secretary, I organised the first This Girl Can Climb event with the Castle climbing centre, and tried to balance the nature of our events to accomodate the different demographics and interests of our members (including non-alcoholic socials and online ones). As media secretary I've moderated the Discord server and managed our social media as mindfully as I could. I pride myself on being approachable, and I care about club issues!
