Candidates

Pranav Sambamoorthi

As a fresher that was interested quickly by the prospect of Muay Thai, I want to be able to share this same enthusiasm I had for the future freshers that will join the society. With my skills in communication, leadership, social media and teamwork, I wish to promote this wonderful society to as many people as possible. I want to express that Muay Thai isn't just about fighting but it's a thriving community full of amazing people that wish to work on improving their fitness in the best way imaginable.

Anish Basu

Hi, my name is Anish and I'm a third-year medic!

It's my first year joining Muay Thai but I've enjoyed it so much that I want to get involved with the committee too :)

I'm standing for public relations secretary because I believe I can help promote our club to even higher levels. I think it is such an important aspect of a society as social media pages can really draw in more members and we can show off what Muay Thai has to offer!

If elected I would focus on making sure our social media platforms, such as Insta, are easily accessible for information but also aesthetic and easy on the eyes.

Kai Hui

I don’t post on my main account so I have all the time to promote the club through posts on all the platforms 🙏. I also have no enemies so I should be good at public relations 😃. I have no experience in applying for UCL awards on behalf of the society cause I’m a first year but I’m a fast learner.

Jacqui Lee

Hi I’m Jacqui! I’m nominating myself forward for the public relations secretary position because I’ve been helping make posts and reels for the instagram on an unofficial basis for the last month now! I was at UCL for my undergrad and have had experience with running a society a few years ago, so I am familiar with making instagram posts and stories to market social events! I am hoping to make more friendships within the club as a committee member this year, sharing my knowledge of public relations to next year’s committee, and most importantly I would like to practice and learn new Muay Thai techniques from everyone! :)

Parthiv Naidu

I’m thrilled to apply for Public Relations Secretary. I love meeting people and have a track record of successfully managing social media platforms. In the past, I've managed social media efforts for the Volleyball Society as well as Surgery and Interventional Sciences Society. These experiences have equipped me with a solid understanding of social media, and I'm eager to use this knowledge to promote the Muay Thai Society!
