I discovered Muay Thai about 4 years ago, and I've loved the sport and its rich culture ever since. It's become a central part of my life and I find myself irritated if I don't train for too long. I love the awareness and calm it provides while being physically demanding, and I'd love to be a part of the team that helps others experience Muay Thai too - having enough adequate gear being a central part of the experience at training.

I'm currently studying at UCL for Masters, and I have been incredibly passionate about Muaythai through my undergrad journey in LSE having been the Treasurer and President of the Muay Thai Club in my last 2 years of study.

Unfortunately, the last year of my undergrad was around the beginning of COVID so the club couldn't do most of the plans we had for the year. This year being the only year I'll be back in university, I don't want to miss this opportunity to support and promote Muay Thai as a sport with the rest of the committee. Coupled with my experience and postgrad schedules, I'll be able to commit to the club to the best of my ability by being the Gear Sec.

Martim P G C Pereira

After having trained with UCL MT for 2 years and fought once for the club, I want to get more involved with the committee. I hope my experience with this great sport can be of help to others who are starting now
