Caitlin Zhang

Hi, I'm Caitlin, and I'm thrilled to nominate myself for the Vice President position at MEDLIFE UCL. During high school, I founded "The Heartreach Project," collaborating with the British Heart Foundation, gaining hands-on experience in reaching out to various parties. As the Vice Chairlady of "Guidance Sister," I honed leadership skills and effectively communicated with junior students.

Drawing on these experiences, I aim to contribute to MEDLIFE's mission by bringing innovative perspectives to fundraising and volunteer coordination. My background aligns with the role's responsibilities, and my commitment to community service is unwavering.

I am driven by a genuine passion for MEDLIFE's pillars — medicine, education, and development. My proven track record in founding charitable initiatives and holding leadership roles during high school reflects my dedication. Thank you for considering my nomination. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to MEDLIFE's success and make a meaningful impact within the community.

Yanni Leung

Studying cancer biomedicine, my aspirations lie in impacting global healthcare. I am well organised, passionate and have excellent communication skills, which makes me a good fit for this role. I am passionate about fundraising and volunteer opportunities that enhance our university experience and also contribute to transforming healthcare. I aim to ensure that all events run smoothly through effective communication and collaboration, creating a safe and positive environment for all. And I hope to have the chance to work with everyone and get a productive year of positive impact.

I worked at a community vaccination centre during the pandemic's peak and have experience in engaging the public with accessible healthcare. I would love to participate in planning, organising, and running important society events that target the education, cultural and socio-economic challenges of healthcare. I have organised a marine sustainability week in high school, addressing the global issue of marine sustainability through forums and other activities. I enjoy taking initiative and being part of a team that allows me to transform passion into action. My experience as a native English teacher for students with learning difficulties has honed my communication skills, enabling me to connect with anyone.

I am excited about this opportunity and believe that my dedication, organisational and communication skills make me a suitable candidate for this role. Thank you for considering my nomination.
