Having been the treasurer and one of the founding members of the society in 2 years, I'm sure I can further facilitate in organising different activities for the society (e.g. academic talks, socials etc.)

Asha Shinde

Hi there!

I am currently a second year in BSc Biochemistry, and I would love to become the Immunology society welfare officer for the coming year!

If I were to get this role, I would aim to ensure that the experience of all society members is enjoyable by acting as a bridge between you and the committee. I will constantly look out for the mental health of all members of the society and direct them towards appropriate UCL well-being services when necessary.

My role as a high school student representative and treasurer of the UCL Amateur Boxing Club allowed me to develop strong organisational and communication skills, and I hope to utilise and continue to enhance these skills in this role as well.

To conclude, I hope to make the Immunology society a place where everyone can feel safe and welcome. Thanks for reading and I hope you'll consider voting for me!

Ichika Aradono

Hello! My name is Ichika and I am in my second year studying BSc Cancer Biomedicine.

I have been involved in the immunology society as a member last year, and I am now hoping to become a committee member this year :) I believe I will be able to contribute significantly to the society by building on my experience as a Treasurer in the Genetics Society and Course Rep for the Cancer Biomedicine Course. I have been heavily involved in planning events, talks, and journal clubs, all of which required thinking about the welfare, safety, and inclusivity of participants. Building on these experiences, I believe I will be able to add insights to the careful planning of events for the Immunology Society as well.

Academically, I am broadly interested in immunology and genetics. Specifically, I am interested in cancer immunotherapies and their efficacy on solid tumor. I look forward to deepening my interest and understanding about these topics by actively participating in the Immunology Society this year, and I am also excited to share my insights about these topics in discussions with other members as well.

I strongly look forward to being granted this opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the Immunology Society, helping the Society to plan insightful and inclusive events throughout the year.
