Bruno Sinka

I am an experienced committee member running for the role of treasurer because I’d like to dedicate more of my time to the Club and gliding itself.

As the previous president of the In Aid of UNICEF Society, I have acquired practical knowledge of how one should effectively plan and manage society finances. Due to the charitable nature of the society, we had to be very clear and accountable with our funds, which gave me advanced experience. In addition, the role required me to closely familiarise myself with what every committee member does through the Union’s training, so if elected, I’ll be able to hit the ground running.

As your treasurer, I’ll work towards stretching our budget and ensuring that enough funds are allocated for essential matters, like the maintenance of our planes. I’ll also make sure to hear you out on any new ideas and to settle any concerns with the SU effectively; I’ve done it many times. I will also prioritise funding more social events and promote initiatives that help make gliding accessible for everyone.
